The Trusts analysed were of varying sizes and situated across the country, covering almost 50% of southern England. If applied across the whole system, given the NHS’s current total agency spend is approximately £2.4bn, the total saving would be approximately £1.73bn based on the study’s demonstrated 72% saving on agency spend.
