What is Locum’s Nest Pre-Match?

Pre-Match is here to enable you to seamlessly match workers with future shifts they’re available for or shifts that they have already worked (if your organisation doesn’t use the ad hoc timesheet function). This sends the shift directly to the candidate when published and the healthcare professional will need to accept or decline the Pre-Match invitation - this results in time savings for everyone!

At Locum’s Nest, we have a culture of feedback for continuous improvement to better your experience when using our technology. With this in mind, you gave us your feedback on Pre-Match 1.0, so it has now been refreshed with additional features to make your life simpler with enhanced functionality. Welcome to Pre-Match 2.0!

What do the latest updates mean for you?

  • The cosmetic one - the candidates are now sorted alphabetically in the list, with the unavailable candidates at the bottom (this might be that they don’t have the app or aren’t licensed to practice). You can also click on their name to take you to their profile to see some more information about them.

  • The big one - we call it ‘Bulk Pre-Match’, but what it means is that you can now Pre-Match a worker to a group of shifts all in one click, instead of one shift at a time.

  • The admin one - You can now include a message when you send any Pre-Match invitation to let the worker know a bit more about why you might be sending it.

  • Accidentally pre-matched the wrong candidate? Don’t worry, you can now remove this invitation and the worker will no longer be able to accept it.

  • Candidates can now decline Pre-Match invitations on their app so you will know if they just haven’t seen it yet or actually can’t work the shift.

  • For Trusts working as part of a collaborative - you will now be able to see workers from all of your Collaborative’s staff bank when searching on the Pre-Match box.

For help on how to do any of the above, just look in the Support Centre on your Dashboard i.e., the speech bubble at the bottom of the left-hand menu. The specific Pre-Match section can be found under Match > Shift Publishing > Pre-Match a candidate. This gives all the information (and more!) on how to use these new features.

One final tip for pre-matching

Have you pre-matched a candidate but they haven’t received the invite? If your trust uses our authorisation hierarchy or lock/unlock feature when publishing shifts, the candidate will only receive a notification when this shift gets published.
