Once you’re accepted into the Kent & Medway ICS Collaborative Staff Bank, you can easily book shifts at all other Trusts part of the Collaborative Bank, at the click of a button via the Locum’s Nest app!

Who is part of the Kent & Medway ICS Collaborative Staff Bank?

6 NHS Trusts are part of the collaborative (4 Acute, 1 Mental Health and 1 Community Trusts) and includes the following:

  • One of the largest hospital trusts in North Kent serving a local population of over 500,000. The Trust has 3 sites - Darent Valley Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital and Erith & District Hospital.

  • The Trust has 5 hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 695,000 people. It also provides some specialist services for a wider population, including renal services in Medway and Maidstone and a cardiac service for all of Kent based at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.

  • One of the largest NHS community health providers in England, serving a population of about 1.4 million across Kent and 600,000 in East Sussex and London. The Trust provides a wide-range of NHS care for people in the community, including people’s own homes, nursing homes, health clinics, community hospitals, minor injury units and in mobile units.

  • Serves a population of more than 424,000 across Medway and Swale at a single-site hospital based at Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham. The Trust provides clinical services to almost 500,000 patients a year, including more than 125,000 Emergency Department attendances.

  • Provides secondary health services to 1.7 million people across Kent and Medway, both in the community and within inpatient settings. Also offers some learning disability services and a range of specialist services.

  • A large acute hospital Trust in the south east of England and provides a full range of general hospital services, and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south of West Kent and the north of East Sussex. The Trust provides specialist cancer services to around 1.9 million people in Kent, Medway and East Sussex.

    Joining the collaborative bank allows you the flexibility of applying for shifts in your chosen specialty whether it be at your home Trust or one of the collaborative Trusts; building your CV and experience.

    You’ll be automatically affiliated with your Home Trust, however if you are new to the trust you are able to request to join via the app. Medical Staffing teams will review your application and process your request to join the trust.

  • Timesheets are approved in-app, keeping everything simple in one place, and are processed by your home trust in line with their payroll frequency. Contact your Home Trust for more information. This will be the trust where you hold your home staff bank membership, not the trust where you completed the shift. If the timesheet has been submitted and you have any pay-related queries, please speak to your home staff bank payroll team.
