Mental Health Support for NHS Heroes
In the last month, we’ve seen a number of great initiatives to support our NHS people during the Covid-19 pandemic. From food donations to free car parks and hotel rooms all with the aim to ease the pressure off NHS frontline staff during these difficult times.
We were pleased to see the NHS’ new wellbeing support guidance and the opening of a new helpline for all NHS staff (0300 131 700 / 7am-11pm) as another way for them to access practical support.
The size of the challenge that the NHS workforce is facing is daunting. Staff are worried, overworked, stressed and deserve a comprehensive package of emotional and psychological support now more than ever. In that spirit, we wanted to share a number of amazing projects catering for the mental health and wellbeing of frontline staff which is critical to their health, their patients' lives and our country.
The below initiatives are offering FREE online therapy to all NHS staff and all of them are registered as mental health support services on the NHS Practitioner Health website.
