Press release: ASPH is the first NHS trust to deploy the integration between Locum's Nest and RLDatix

Locum's Nest and RLDatix today announced that Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH) has become the first NHS trust to go live with the integration between RLDatix e-rostering platform and Locum's Nest's bank and agency platform. The integration enables workforce information to flow seamlessly between the two systems, helping NHS teams manage temporary staffing more efficiently.

The implementation connects  workforce planning, e-rostering and temporary staffing into one connected digital workflow, enabling NHS teams to move seamlessly from identifying workforce demand through to filling shifts through bank and agency. Workforce information flows securely between the two systems, reducing manual administration, eliminating duplicate data entry and improving visibility of workforce demand.

The rollout will support all Agenda for Change teams as implementation continues across the Trust.

Developed in close partnership between ASPH, Locum's Nest and RLDatix, the integration demonstrates how NHS organisations and technology providers can work together to create more connected workforce management.

Benefits will include:

  • Seamless integration between RLDatix's e-rostering solution and Locum's Nest's bank and agency platform.

  • Reduced manual administration and the elimination of duplicate data entry.

  • Faster and more efficient filling of temporary staffing requirements.

  • Improved visibility of workforce demand across teams through integrated and synchronised reporting.

  • A more intuitive experience for staffing teams and healthcare professionals.

  • Stronger workforce governance and operational oversight.

Karen Uttley, Deputy Chief People Officer at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:

"Managing our temporary workforce effectively is a key priority for the Trust. Embarking on an integration of this scale has certainly not been an easy process; however, by uniting around a shared vision, all three organisations worked hand-in-hand to overcome technical challenges and minimise any disruption to our day-to-day operations.

By integrating RLDatix and Locum’s Nest, we are now creating a much more connected workflow for our teams, helping reduce manual processes and providing greater visibility across temporary staffing requirements. We are incredibly pleased to have collaborated so closely with both organisations to support our workforce teams and prove how technology can enable more efficient, resilient ways of working across the Trust."

Ahmed Shahrabani, Co-founder and CEO of Locum's Nest, said:

"We're incredibly proud to reach this milestone with RLDatix and Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals. As the first NHS trust to go live with the integration between our platforms, ASPH is demonstrating what's possible when technology partners work together to connect existing systems and simplify temporary staffing.

At Locum's Nest, we've always believed the future of NHS workforce technology lies in collaboration and interoperability. This is an exciting milestone in our partnership with RLDatix, and we're looking forward to bringing the integration to more NHS trusts across the country."

Julian Mount, Solutions Consultant at RLDatix, said:

“Our goal is to help NHS organisations build connected workforce operations rather than isolated digital systems. By integrating e-rostering with temporary staffing, trusts can move more efficiently from identifying workforce demand to filling shifts, while reducing administrative burden and improving operational oversight. We're pleased to have worked alongside Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals and Locum's Nest on this first deployment and look forward to making the integration available to more NHS organisations.”
