The Digital Collaborative Bank is your opportunity to cross-cover shifts across 11 NHS Trusts giving you greater control and choice of where and how you want to work. Once you’re accepted into The Digital Collaborative Bank, you can easily book shifts at all other member Trusts, at the click of a button via the Locum’s Nest app!
By coming together to share staff and services, participating Trusts are able to provide more comprehensive coverage for their patients as well as improved continuity of care, maximising the strength of their collective staff pools.
The Digital Collaborative Bank is available for all grades and specialities of doctors.

The Trust serves a population of more than 410,000 people living in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking and parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond. Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS FT employs around 4,400 members of staff and provides a whole range of services across its hospital sites.

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust supplies healthcare services from Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford providing emergency and general hospital services to a population of more than 330,000 across South West Surrey. The Trust also provides adult community healthcare services from Haslemere Hospital and Milford Hospital. Also home to St Luke’s, a specialist tertiary Cancer Centre, which offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services to a population of up to 2 million.

Home Trust is where you are based normally, and where you will have completed all required onboarding and recruitment checks initially. This is typically the trust that you do the majority of your work at.
Working Trust is where you can apply to work other shifts in the other trusts as part of the medical collaborative.

You’ll be automatically affiliated with your Home Trust, however if you are new to the trust you are able to request to join via the app. Medical Staffing teams will review your application and process your request to join the trust.

The software is used by NHS Trusts to electronically advertise and fill bank shifts and submit timesheets digitally. The Trust remains the employer and is responsible for the payment of timesheets submitted via the app.

Timesheets are approved in the app, keeping everything simple in one place, and are processed by your home trust in line with their payroll frequency. Contact your Home Trust for more information. This will be the trust where you hold your home staff bank membership, not the trust where you completed the shift. If the timesheet has been submitted and you have any pay-related queries, please speak to your home staff bank payroll team.
